Electrostatic discharge can be a serious problem and the
consequences can be costly. A static discharge can
easily damage electrical components and also lead to
disastrous events where petrol or explosive materials
are involved.
The
CABELEC range has been designed for applications where
permanent electrical conductivity or static dissipative
properties are required, greatly reducing the risk of
electrostatic energy discharge.
CABELEC compounds are
carefully formulated with conductive carbon blacks,
transforming the natural thermoplastic resin properties
from electrical insulators to conducting. They have been
developed for use on conventional plastic processing
equipment.
To
achieve good conductivity or low electrical resistivity
the type of carbon black, the addition level, and the
dispersion quality are the most important factors.
